Knock Knock

Oh, hai. Happy Wednesday to you all.

Little c™ and I have had a pretty good day.

Earlier we got our snuggles in while mom cleaned.

The heat's on. We just like to snuggle.

I look tense, because I know mom’s going to vacuum today.

Little c™ watched mom vacuum. She got part of the way through the living room when the vacuum died. I could hear them from the linen closet trying to revive it, while I prayed quietly for its quick demise.

They were unable to fix the vacuum, so mom gave it a proper burial. Uncle Matthew, if you’re reading this, mom wants this vacuum for Christmas, because it’s purple and has decent reviews and will probably go on sale in a few weeks. All good things. If it’s late, or gets lost in the mail, I’d be OK with that, but I think mom and little c™ were wanting to clean again soon.

For those of you who don’t know our Uncle Matthew, we’d like to introduce him.

Uncle Matthew’s doing standup at the Atlanta Improv while we’re blogging tonight.

Here’s a recent pic of our uncle.

Don't worry. The sleeve's fake.

Don’t worry. The sleeve’s fake.

Little c™ looks up to his uncle, so I promised him we’d watch tonight from the wings.

With our special vision, we can see all the way to the Improv from our apartment. Pretty cool, huh?

We also researched our writing prompt for today, so we could keep up with all things NaBloPoMo. Today’s prompt reads, “Today you can write about anything, in whatever genre or form, but your post must include a speeding car, a phone call, and a crisp, bright morning. (Wildcard: you can swap any of the above for a good joke.)”

Because of the wildcard and the fact that his favorite uncle is performing live tonight, Little c™ wanted to address today’s writing prompt with his very first knock knock joke.

Whenever you’re ready, c™.

c™: Knock knock.

JD: Who’s there?

c™: Vacuum.

JD: Vacuum who?

c™: Our vacuum died today.

JD: That wasn’t funny.

c™: You didn’t say it had to be funny.

Uncle Matthew, if you’re reading this, I hope you don’t have to follow a set like ours.

Oh and call us when you’re done. c™ wants to try out another knock knock joke on you.

‘Til next time peeps.
