Little c™’s Big Question

Oh, hai. I hope your week is going well.

Little c™ and I were talking last night about mom’s bedroom closet. Little c™ wanted to know why mom always kept it closed.

I told him I didn’t know, but sometimes I peeked in when mom was putting clothes away, and it was OK as far as closets went, but the linen closet is really where it’s at, as far as proper lounging goes.

I thought that was a pretty good explanation, but this morning he asked me again while we were sun puddling.

c™ wants what he wants.

c™ was pretty passionate about his cause.

So I relayed c™’s concerns on to mom while she was having her morning tea.

I figured if she was reading this, she might be open to letting c™ explore the closet.

Mom said this would probably be a good time to share today’s writing prompt. It says, “You’ve been given a key that can open one building, room, locker, or box to which you don’t normally have access. How do you use it, and why?”

In view of today’s writing prompt and c™’s big question, mom said she could grant c™ access to the magic closet just for today to help him understand why she usually keeps it closed.

This is what he found when he ran inside and mom shut the door behind him.

I know this, because he told me after he came out, and I noticed he was walking funny.

The carpet's right here, right?

That was a lot of Gary Wright. Whoa. Is this carpet?

Little c™ says he now understands why the back closet is usually closed and why a little Gary Wright goes a long way.

I think it will probably be awhile before c™ asks another big question like that.

Travel responsibly, peeps.
